Patrick Pouyanné Visits Total Uganda
On the morning of Monday 29th April 2019 the group CEO, Mr. Patrick POUYANNÉ accompanied by VP of Total E&P Africa, Mr. Guy MAURICE, visited Uganda. The intent of the visit was to meet the Ugandan President, but first the duo spent time meeting staff of both Total E&P and MS Uganda.
The visitors were received by the country chairman and GM Total E&P Uganda, Mr. Pierre JESSUA and the MD Total MS Uganda, Mr. Obi IMEMBA. After a brief induction, they conducted a safety tour of the Kampala 8th Street Depot Facility before being ushered to a town hall session with staff. The session was kicked off by a safety moment from 8th Street Depot Manager, Ms. Evelyne KWIKIRIZA, the country chair then gave opening remarks followed by the CEO's address. Staff later a chance to interact with the CEO in a Q&A session before closing remarks by the TUL MD.
Mr. POUYANNÉ was presented with a souvenir by 2018 employees of the year for TUL and TEPU, Solomon KATENDE and Linda TUSIIME. The souvenir was a painting of a service station in downtown Kampala.
In his address the CEO focused on safety and the other four values of TOTAL. He spoke of the position of MS and E&P in Uganda, before finally expounding on the One TOTAL House project.
